The GDS MobalTester is an award winning mobile 19 Pin Socapex tester that can also be bench mounted for shop use. It is completley weatherproof and can be used indoors or outdoors. The MobalTester is truly a premium Socapex tester, which is poised to become the industry standard! It is made from high quality materials which include a OLED screen and built in Lithium Ion batteries.

Unlike other Socapex testers (aka Soca Grenades) this one will NOT blow up in your hand! The MobalTester offers protection from live loads and will shut itself down if it senses that it has been connected to a live dimmer.

MOBAL stands for "Make or Break and Load", which describes the two tests MobalTester performs.

The Make or Break test checks for continuity between an extension cable's two ends. If there is any fault from pin to pin within the cable it will instantly be displayed on the screen. The MobalTester will detect and display any broken, crossed or bussed earth circuits visually on its OLED screen.

The Load test checks the real-time resistance on all 6 circuits concurently and the results are displayed graphically so that they are easy to understand. If there is a broken or blown bulb, or if there is a short in a fixture you will know which one it is instantly.

These two tests are performed by the MobalTester and completed within 2 seconds with no input from the user other than plugging in the cable!

The MobalTester's Lithium Ion battery can perform tests continuously for 2 days and has a two week standby time.
